Ferries cancelled because of bad weather

The Steam Packet Company’s cancelled two of today’s ferry crossings in the face of bad weather.

Strong winds mean the Manannan's sailings at 8am to Heysham and her return trip at midday and have been called off.

Ronaldsway Met Office has issued an amber weather warning today for waves being driven over exposed coast roads.

Forecasters say the Tongue in Douglas, Mezeron Corner and West Quay in Ramsey, and Back Hope Street in Castletown may also see some flooding at high tide at around 1pm.
