The Curraghs Wildlife Park is celebrating after a late birth that’s wowing visitors.

The facility in Ballaugh has seen the birth of a baby ring-tailed lemur – bringing the number of ring-tailed lemurs at the park to seven.

The species is at risk because of poaching and forest clearance, and only around 2,000 remain in existence.

Wildlife Park general manager Kathleen Graham says the new baby is unusual because births are usually in the spring in the northern hemisphere.
