Lip filler warning from Island clinic

Women on the Isle of Man are being urged to do their research after reports of “serious complications” with lip fillers. 

Dentist, and aesthetics expert, Tracey Bell says she’s had to treat three people after complications with the procedures which were carried out at local salons.

In one case a woman suffered necrosis – which is where the lip tissue dies; another two women contracted infections:

Tracey says in two of the cases no aftercare was available due to the visiting practitioners having left the Island meaning the drug needed to reverse the process was unavailable until she stepped in.

She’s warning people to do their homework or risk being left permanently disfigured:
